Cold pizza makes some people gag. Cold sheets make others genuinely happy. We wanted a simple hot versus cold debate, but it turns out these choices are basically personality tests with snacks attached. After a proper catch-up about holidays, gigs, and the unforgettable moment our cat decided to “gift” Mitchell a peed-on suitcase, we get into the real business of judging comfort, cravings, and everyday habits.

We run through the big hitters: pizza, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milkshakes, cookies, ice cream, soup, salad, and the high-stakes question of whether a McDonald’s apple pie is worth the risk to your mouth. Then we zoom out to lifestyle choices like summer versus winter, hot showers versus cold showers, sauna versus swimming pool, fireplace versus air conditioning, and the pure joy of climbing into cold sheets so you can warm the bed up yourself. If you love cosy culture, UK humour, and low-stakes debates that get oddly passionate, you’ll feel right at home.

Right at the end, the chat swerves into music, from an awkward Shrek 2 lyric to the “law of Fleetwood Mac”, where breakups become songs and the band still has to play them live. If you’ve ever wondered why Silver Springs feels like a direct hit, we’ve got you. Subscribe for more, share it with a mate who’d argue about cold pizza, and leave a review with your most controversial hot or cold take.

Or you could choose one by contacting us.

SPEAKER_03

Via email, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Links in bio. Hello and welcome to Bonus Dad. Bonus daughter. Borta?

SPEAKER_00

Borta.

SPEAKER_03

A very special episode today. Uh hot versus cold. Yes. The reason I started laughing was because obviously the count now was going. I was gonna get the clapperboard, and I just saw you go. His head snapped to the front with a with a broad smile and it made me laugh. And then I said border. You said border. I did say border.

Holidays Gigs And Cat Pee Chaos

SPEAKER_01

Should we do a laugh update? Yeah, what have you been up to, Hannah? Anything special?

SPEAKER_03

I have been away on two holidays.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, two. Not just one, but two.

SPEAKER_03

Two. So I went away to um a little village called, well, just outside of Alton, which is near Alton Towers in the UK. With my husband. Very good. Uh funny story though. Um so we got to our little uh staycation cottage. It was very nice, it was on the edge of a barn. And um Mitchell opened his case the next day. So we got there um on the Sunday fairly late-ish. Went to bed, got up in the morning, had a shower, and Mitchell just cools down. There's like the the bedroom is in the loft of the barn, but you can see the bed from the downstairs part of it, you know? So you could just see. And he calls down and he goes, My case is wet. I was like, What do you mean your case is wet? So I was thinking, oh, is it is it the window? Because we had the window open the night before. Did it rain and the water got in the case? That's inconvenient, but whatever. Um and he went, Oh no, it's got a bit of a funny smell. I was like, what the hell are you on about? Went upstairs, I smelt it and was like, How do I break it to this man that our cat has peed on his clothes? Like, how how do I communicate that to him? So I was like, I'm really sorry, but the cat has peed on your and we just wanted to leave you a little present. I know. I think she she gets a bit upset when we leave, and I think that's her little dirty protest. So, yeah, so then we try to find a laundrette, found a petrol station garage that has like one of them like automated laundrette things that you just like literally, well, it's it's now scan and go, like it's it's now you bip it and you go. Right. It's like a little unit like this. It's not you don't go into a place with loads of washing machines anymore. There's just like these things on side road. We did that and they still smelt. And luckily, we'd said to the the pe the people that owned the cottage, we were like, We're really sorry, so random that there's a load of clothes outside, but we're trying to dry them because our cat peeded and we uh I told her the story because I didn't want her to think that we were like complete weirdos, yeah, just putting loads of clothes outside. Anyway, she offered to wash them again for us. Oh really sweet, like humanity in the world restored for me. Um so she washed all of Mitchell's clothes and hung them out for him, which was just so sweet. Um, so yeah, so that happened. Core memory for me, very funny holiday. Other than that, we played uh a bit of Mario in the in the cottage. We went out for a lovely walk, all that, all that cool stuff. And then on the Wednesday, we went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Oh yeah, we got to ride my favourite roller coaster in the UK 12 times, so that was good. And then I went to the peak district the following weekend with my friend Ella. Nice, and it was glorious. I met her. I I I don't know a lot of uh Ella's family, like a lot of her, a lot a lot of her family. I've I've met a couple in in sort of passing and stuff, and now I've what lived in her in her aunt's house, um, and they were very lovely people, and I'm very, very grateful. So um, so yeah, that was that was cool. I've been to a couple of gigs, I think, since we've last done a podcast recording. Yes, you did.

SPEAKER_01

You went down to Brixton, didn't you?

SPEAKER_03

I've done Brixton now. Also went to the Dome, uh, which is Tufnell Park. Can't remember what I was. Yeah. Yeah. So two gigs, they were both awesome, uh both very different, but awesome. One was Fox Stevenson, which is an EDM artist, and then Taylor Acorn, which I would say if Avilevine and Paramour had a baby.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, Taylor Acorn. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Both awesome. Um and that and then I've been poorly. That's pretty much it. Then I've been dead the rest of the time.

SPEAKER_01

And that is the reason why we haven't recorded a podcast for a few weeks, isn't it? Because you've been jet-setting all over the gaff.

SPEAKER_03

And and poorly. And poorly. I had to cancel last week because I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_01

You did have to cancel last week, yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I still feel poorly, but we prevail.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and you you're sitting on some cushions today, aren't you? I am, I am.

SPEAKER_03

I I'm feeling very, very comfortable.

SPEAKER_01

Very cushiony.

SPEAKER_03

Cushiony, cushioned, if you will.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

Elden Ring And Loving A Challenge

SPEAKER_03

Uh what have you been up to?

SPEAKER_01

I haven't really been up to a lot.

SPEAKER_03

Fantastic news. No, not really.

SPEAKER_01

But what I have been doing, so preparing for the podcast. Preparing for the podcast, yes. But I have also I bought Elden Ring, which is a game, it's a game on PS5. And it is without a doubt, I've never played a game where from a company called FromSoft.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And yeah, it is the most difficult game I have ever played.

SPEAKER_03

Oh damn.

SPEAKER_01

It is insanely difficult.

SPEAKER_03

Is it a is it a RPG or yeah, it's open world.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. It's open world. But it gives you no clue what you gotta do.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

You have no idea.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm So you just like petting a cat and some and then you get a quest and you're like, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I had to, in the end, I had to go onto Reddit and say, tell me where the quests are.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And it gives you a breakdown of when you have to speak to people and all this kind of thing. And you're all you're all you're literally all over the place. And the the battles and the fight, there's no level of difficulty. Oh. You can't like lower the difficulty. It is that as is.

SPEAKER_04

Damn.

SPEAKER_01

And it is just, I just walk around the thing and troglodyte, they're dead. Oh. And you you stack all these runes up, right? To be able to level up. If you get killed, you lose all the runes that you've got.

SPEAKER_03

Lovely.

SPEAKER_01

It is the hardest game I've ever played. But do you know what?

SPEAKER_03

Are you enjoying it?

SPEAKER_01

I'm enjoying it. It's fulfilling. It's fulfilling. It's actually a challenge.

SPEAKER_03

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

It's actually a challenge. Oh, good. Oh, good. As a little bit of uh bit of info on that one, the actual story, the backstory behind it, was written by um George R.R. Martin. Oh. Who wrote Game of Thrones? Damn. So it's very the the actual story and the fantasy side of things, it's it's very, very good.

SPEAKER_03

I was gonna say, because Elder Ring sounds very Lord of the Ringsy.

SPEAKER_01

It is a little bit like that. Yeah. Yeah, it's a little bit fantasy. Is it like um wizards and orcs and yeah, essentially my character I've created him to be a spell blade so he can cast spells and also whack people with a katana as well.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, so he's basically a wizard barbarian.

SPEAKER_01

Essentially, yeah, spellblade. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's cool. There you go.

SPEAKER_03

Is that is that everything?

SPEAKER_01

That's pretty much all I've been up to, really. Should we go on to I haven't really done a lot?

Setting Up Hot Versus Cold

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, girls and your This episode was I had this spark of inspiration the other day.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, spark of inspiration. We love that. We love that around here.

SPEAKER_01

I was thinking, hmm, what we we're running out of episode ideas. Well, we've still got quite a few, but we're starting to run out. I thought, oh we we like doing I like you like it when you do like the blind react ones.

SPEAKER_03

I do enjoy a blind react, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I thought lack of preparation on my part is always uh Well it it means that you don't have to do a lot because I know you know I know A, you don't do a lot, and B, you are quite busy, so you can't do a lot.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So it's yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So what I thought was, I thought, well, get you to blind react because you haven't got your laptop with you. Well I do, but not on. And I'm gonna say a few things.

SPEAKER_03

But I remember today.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And we're gonna decide between us if they're better hot or cold.

SPEAKER_03

Damn, let's go.

SPEAKER_01

Because you did say actually on the text message the other day, you said, uh, what's that, didn't you? Hot and cold. And I gave you the first one.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I gave you the first one. And then you went, that's a good idea.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you did. That's a good idea. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, what talking about text? Have we had any funny texts lately between us? I don't think we have, have we?

SPEAKER_03

Can I read out the one? Can I can I read out the one that I sent you? Because I genuinely was so proud of it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yes. Yeah, yeah. Oh, and thank um your mother thanks you as well for her McDonald's this morning.

SPEAKER_03

I know, I know.

SPEAKER_01

I felt really bad because I had to wake her up and I went, um, do you want a Mackey's?

SPEAKER_03

Just a heads up, my monthly limited edition release is about to drop. The teaser trailers have started, the critics, my hormones, are losing it. And the full album Crimson Moon Deluxe Edition arrives sometime this weekend. Bonus track, my uterus is trying to kill me. Genre heavy flow. I was so impressed with that. And then your response was no worries, Poppet. It was really sweet. And I was like, that's great. That's a really sweet response. But there was no ha ha, no funny. So I was like, I was quite proud of that one. And and then you put, we are Poppet. I love what you wrote. It was not the reaction I was. I it took me ages to write that.

SPEAKER_01

What reaction did you want?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know what I wanted, but that wasn't it.

SPEAKER_01

Give you a full hearty laugh.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I wanted a ha ha or a gift that a gift with someone crying. I don't know. It was just uh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Did you want the gift with Jennifer Lawrence spitting out a coffee? Yeah, I do.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, something like that would have been funny, but I I genuinely was so proud of that.

SPEAKER_01

It was a good, it was a good little. So proud. So proud. One other thing we've been doing, we've been watching the boys, haven't we?

SPEAKER_03

We have been watching the boys.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we better not say too much spoilers, spoilers, but actually you told me off because I sent you a spoiler, didn't I?

SPEAKER_03

You did, and I'm really annoyed about that. Yeah. Because I was on holiday as well. I couldn't watch it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I was just so excited because seeing You were like, oh, it's them, and I was like, I knew it was coming, but Yeah. But it was funny. It was. It was a funny episode. Anyway, should we start the start the episode?

SPEAKER_03

Yo yo yo.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Okay, so you already know what the first one is. We. Um, but I'm gonna ask it anyway.

Pizza Tea Coffee And Comfort Drinks

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Is pizza better hot or cold?

SPEAKER_03

Hot, it's a hill I will die on.

SPEAKER_01

Really? Why?

SPEAKER_03

I cannot eat pizza cold. It is disgusting.

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_03

I don't like it. I don't know if it's because I have ham and pineapple.

SPEAKER_01

So maybe that's you are a pineapple on pizza girl, I think.

SPEAKER_03

I am a pineapple on pizza girl. And again, that is a hill I'm willing to die on. The sweet and the savory together. I honestly I I I make Mitchell heat up my pizza the next day.

SPEAKER_01

Really? Yeah. Oh, reheated pizza's the worst.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's not.

SPEAKER_02

He cooks it in a pan, it's well good. No, no, no, no, no. Yes, yes, yes. No, no. Yes. See the old glass and the microwave trick as well.

SPEAKER_01

Oh dear lord. So I make my own pizza, as you know. You do? Yeah. And I make it make the bread dough and the but what I like about it is I will make a big pizza. Yeah. And then I will eat half of it hot, and then I enjoy it cold as well. Sacrilege. Pepperoni, olives, tomatoes, cheese. Um, what else do I put on there? Mushrooms as well. Um I make on my pizza.

SPEAKER_03

It's a very um a very Italian kind of pizza, though, isn't it, with the olives?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I'll tell you what I have got as well.

SPEAKER_03

All the Italians listening to this are like, no. No, it really isn't no Hannah.

SPEAKER_01

No. I've got this chili infused oil that I bought from Liddles.

unknown

Mmm.

SPEAKER_01

And oh, when just spraying it.

SPEAKER_03

Is it a dream boat?

SPEAKER_01

It is. Nice. It is just spraying a little bit of that. It even says on the bottle, perfect on pizza.

SPEAKER_03

Oh nice.

SPEAKER_01

And I cannot disagree with them.

SPEAKER_03

Do you put it into the dough or do you sprinkle it once it's cooked?

SPEAKER_01

Sprinkle it once it's cooked.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, just a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't know if it was like a needed in.

SPEAKER_01

With the amount of mozzarella and also the pepperoni and the olives, it does taste. Oily, in it. It's very oily pizza.

SPEAKER_03

Whereas ham and pineapple are not oily, because pineapple's not it's wet, but it's not oily.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not. No. It's wet. It's wet but not oily. Yeah. So you I'm hot, you're cold. Well, I'm both.

SPEAKER_03

You can't you can't have a podcast episode where we go, oh, let's discuss whether it's hot or cold. You have to choose one.

SPEAKER_01

All right, out of the two, I'll choose cold. Okay. Cold out of the two.

SPEAKER_03

Cold. That's that's so rogue. So rogue. Pete's just so much better hot. Okay. Crazy man.

SPEAKER_01

Next one.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Hot coffee or an iced maca chakalaka faka bapa fata fate. Frappe.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like there was a swear in there. Hannah. Oh. You did David. You did swearies.

SPEAKER_01

There wasn't a swearie in there.

SPEAKER_03

Um, I don't drink coffee.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

But I think I would probably prefer it cold.

SPEAKER_01

Right. So I I I drink coffee every day. I've already had two hot or hot coffees.

SPEAKER_03

You've actually had one a minute ago.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I've already had two coffees today. And quite often when I go to work, I will have a coffee in the morning when I first wake up to get me going. And then when I get into work, I'll probably have about three coffees throughout the course of the morning. I have stopped cook drinking coffee in the afternoon though.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

But I do drink a lot of coffee. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Have you got tea on there on that list? I would we'll come to that. Oh, okay. We'll come to that. We'll come to that. Um, because I don't drink coffee, but I probably would prefer cold.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, I have got hot I have, but let's do that instead. Let's change let's change it. So do you want tea tea hot or cold?

SPEAKER_03

Well, what I was gonna say was I do really enjoy iced tea, but nothing beats a cup, like a cup of hot tea in the morning. Because I'm a tea drinker and I I love tea. Has to be uh strong but milky with two sugars.

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Do you like those um like herbal teas?

SPEAKER_03

I do. I like bergamot tea. I quite like Earl Grey, I don't know if that counts. Um, but because I'm a decaf drinker, yeah, I'm a little bit limited on like the speciality teas, but most fruit teas are normally like naturally decaffeinated.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I have been inclined to have a ginger tea if I'm really feeling quite nauseous or sick. But now that I've associated that with being sick, that I don't like it as much. Yeah. Um, which is uh yeah, I've like I've like pavloved dogs myself. I've made myself think every time I smell ginger that I'm more sick than I am. Yeah. Uh your mum drinks a lot of fennel. Does she?

SPEAKER_01

Fennel tea, yeah. Fennel. It's good from the menopause. Yeah, I hear. And she does these, these, she calls it sleepy tea as well. I'll have to go and get that chamomile and lavender, I think.

SPEAKER_03

Chamomile is usually a sleepy tea. There was I quite like the naturally decaffed. I quite like the lemon and ginger. I knew you'd like the lemon.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, lemon and ginger I quite like. But going back to the coffee side of things, I think hot tea for me.

SPEAKER_03

Hot tea for you.

SPEAKER_01

So when we went last time we went to Florida, I had iced coffee. Never had it before. Well, I have, but it was this bold claim that you've never had iced coffee. This iced coffee that we had in Florida was amazing.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, nice.

SPEAKER_01

It was so nice.

SPEAKER_03

Mitchell's a huge fan of he I think he prefers coffee cold than he does hot. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I prefer so I will say I prefer it hot, but I'm I I'm partial to it. You're partial. You're partial. I'm partial. Okay, an overarching

Seasons Showers And Warmth Preferences

SPEAKER_01

one now. Oh so change attack, so not food related. Hot or cold? Summer versus winter.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, we've done a whole podcast episode on this.

SPEAKER_01

I know. Let's condense it into a minute segment.

SPEAKER_03

Um the thing is, I can't remember what I said back then.

SPEAKER_01

It you can change. That's the point. You can change. It doesn't have to be the same. How it's how you feel in the moment.

SPEAKER_03

So if I was to rank my favourite seasons, it would be autumn, spring, winter, summer, probably. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not so you like more Clement weather.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I I prefer the cooler weather because I burn so easily. But that's not to say I don't enjoy being in the sun.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I think I'll have to go winter because I love wrapping up warm and cozy and little glies and scarfs and I'm I think we said this before on that actual podcast, like the English summer isn't great. The heat is weird.

SPEAKER_03

It's too humid and sometimes it's rainy and cold anyway. So I guess I just feel like summer is just such a bust that there's no point in liking summer.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. So I I do I do prefer the uh I do prefer winter. Hot shower versus a cold shower.

SPEAKER_03

Hot shower. Cold showers, I cannot I cannot no, I just cannot bring myself to the only time a cold shower is nice is in the summer when it is stifling outside and there's nothing you can do to get cold or cooler. A cold shower, but I hate the shock of a cold shower. Yeah. When I have a cold shower, it's it's a very as in it's it's a lukewarm shower, not an ice shower.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Then again, I would do a plunge pool, so I guess I'm a bit hypocritical. Okay, okay, oh, oh, okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_01

So me, I do, I do love a hot shower. I do like a hot shower.

SPEAKER_03

You are you a riping hot shower? Like, do you burn your do you scold your?

SPEAKER_01

If I get in the shower after your mum or she leaves it running, for me to then get in, Jesus Christ, it's like a volcano.

SPEAKER_03

I I don't like hot, hot showers. I just feel a bit, I don't know, icky in them.

SPEAKER_01

Do you have you ever had a well I'm sure you have, but you know when you have a shower and it's hot but the hot water's running out?

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

And then you still go it's a race. It's a race, it's a race.

SPEAKER_03

Especially women as well. Like, I'm not not not to throw in the woman card, but because we have longer hair, uh, conditioner is so much easier to get out of your hair when it's hot. Yeah. So that those those few minutes where you're like, oh no. Like, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, try and get it out, get it, get it out. It's it's yeah, because if you leave conditioning your hair, your hair just looks greasy afterwards, like it's never been.

SPEAKER_01

The funny thing is you haven't got long before you realise, have you? Before it's that's it's that's going the other way.

SPEAKER_03

It's it's not even a minute. It's not even a minute. Um I I went to panic ensues. I went to this like spa thing. Yeah. And I was with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law, and we were going through this, it's called a like a rainfall shower, and you go through basically, it looks like a chamber, like a like a I don't know, like a like a tunnel, I guess. And you go through the different stations and it lights up, and then you walk a little bit further and you have something, and then it'll go from hot, it'll go from cold to hot and then back to cold again as you're going through. Yeah. The thing is, you weren't sure where the water was coming out. So the mists you were like, like you were trying to dodge it so it wouldn't get in your eyes because you're like, where's it gonna come from? Where's it gonna come from? Um, and then you didn't know whether it was gonna be hot or cold either. So you couldn't even brace yourself for that. So you're just in there. It was like the most frightening experience of my life because it was just like I am going to get like jetted with some water in my face.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Jetted? Is that a word?

SPEAKER_01

Jetted, yeah, it can be a word.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Well, you think swung is a word, so swung is a word.

SPEAKER_01

Swang.

SPEAKER_03

Swang is a word, swang. Swing past tense.

SPEAKER_01

Swung past tense. He swang that way.

SPEAKER_03

No, he didn't swang that way, he just swung that way.

SPEAKER_01

He swang on the rope past tense.

SPEAKER_03

There's no such thing as swang.

SPEAKER_01

There is. There is. Next one. Next one. Okay. We just done shower. We just did showers. Warm cookies versus ice cream.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

Desserts Soup And Holiday Choices

SPEAKER_01

Hot cookies, you got hot cookies.

SPEAKER_03

I thought you were gonna say a cold cookie. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Hot cookie or ice cream?

SPEAKER_03

Uh hot cookie for me.

SPEAKER_01

Hot cookie? Yeah. Hot cookie.

unknown

What are you doing?

SPEAKER_00

You hi. Hi, I'm Davy. Would you like a cookie? What is that?

SPEAKER_01

Is it Keefe Lemon? Oh god, it is.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I've actually just realised what that's from. And yeah, that is quite rude, isn't it? It's quite a rude reference. Yeah, it's quite rude.

SPEAKER_03

What a cookie like some cream? Yeah. Um cookie for me.

SPEAKER_01

Ice cream for me. Yeah, I knew you'd say that. Minty chocolate chip or rum and raisin.

SPEAKER_03

I am not an ice cream lover, really. Um mainly because I'm dairy intolerant.

SPEAKER_01

But I've just realized I've got 30 of these and we're only on number five.

SPEAKER_03

Good lord. Rack them through. Come on. Put your free faces. Go, go, go, go, go.

SPEAKER_01

Hot soup versus cold salad. I don't know why I'm doing that with my arms as well.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I don't really like salads, so hot soup.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, hot soup. Yeah. Yeah, I'm I'm the same. I am the same.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I strong boys with salads.

SPEAKER_01

I think salads are pointless.

SPEAKER_03

Then I mean if you've got a good dressing, it's good, but then you're ruining the fact that if you put a dressing on it, I feel like you're ruining the fact that it's healthy.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, I I'm lying there. I think to have a salad, it's got to be a decent salad. You know if you go to the shop and you just bag a salad of lettuce, lettuce, cucumber, tomato.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's gotta be good salad.

SPEAKER_01

Apple and all sorts of stuff in there, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I don't really like soup either, but it's gotta be a good salad to compete with any soup.

SPEAKER_01

I quite like an oxtail soup. I'm quite partial to an oxtail soup.

SPEAKER_03

I like tomato. I like like anything with parsnip or cauliflower in it, it's quite nice. Yeah, I like anything like that. A bit more of a root vegetable kind of gal.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, your mum's a bit of a butternut squash kind of girl.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, butternut squash is fine. It's just a bit mm-mm.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Whatever that word means.

SPEAKER_01

Do you know that you know when you get like like tin soup? Right? Because I got I do eat tin soup because it's just easy.

SPEAKER_03

No judgment.

SPEAKER_01

You've got that that chicken noodle and minestrone.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I don't mind the chicken noodle actually.

SPEAKER_01

Oh cream of chicken.

SPEAKER_03

I think it's because I like laxa and I like um what's the other thing? Uh like ramen and stuff. And that's no not dissimilar to that, really. So I quite yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I eat a lot of ramen actually.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was gonna say chicken noodle soup is the same. Oh yeah no, but it just doesn't seem right in a thing. I like ramen. Yeah, just a little bit. I like ramen.

SPEAKER_01

Those sober noodles and things are nice. I like those.

SPEAKER_00

Sober noodles?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Super noodles?

SPEAKER_01

No sober.

SPEAKER_03

Oh sober.

SPEAKER_01

You get an um little bit like pot noodle.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then you put like there's the teriyaki or the chili. Oh, I know which ones you mean. Yeah, the spicy ones. The spicy ones, yeah, they're nice. They're nice. Uh so where were we? We were hot soup versus salad. Um, a beach holiday, right?

SPEAKER_03

Or a

SPEAKER_01

Ski holiday.

SPEAKER_03

Uh in this scenario, can I ski?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Then I would pick the skiing holiday. But a part of me thinks the beach holiday is less treacherous. A lot of people depends which beach you're on. Well, it depends what ski slope you're on, I suppose, as well. But I I just everyone seems to hurt themselves skiing. Like there's a lot of famous people that find themselves.

SPEAKER_01

There's a lot of broken bones.

SPEAKER_03

Michael Schumacher being like one of the biggest ones that I'm aware of. It's an extreme sport. It's an extreme sport. And I I'm into some extreme sports. I think climbing would class as an extreme sport. Also, let's change let's change it slightly.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, would you would you go? So this is a this is a uh a kind of debate me and your mum are having at the moment. Well, not a debate we're having, but Iceland.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or Mallorca. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Iceland or I definitely pick Iceland, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

100% me too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um I don't really like laying and sitting on a beach.

SPEAKER_05

I find it boring.

SPEAKER_03

I find it boring, but also um I do get a lot of reading done and I do like that that side of relaxing, like I do like getting for a good book. But um sitting on a beach all day for me is just just burny, burny skin time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So yeah, I guess I guess a winter holiday. Uh if we're going summer holiday, winter holiday, I'll go for winter holiday.

SPEAKER_01

I'm the same winter holiday.

SPEAKER_03

Despite the fact that I've actually never been on a winter holiday. I've only ever been to well, beaches, I suppose. Like places that are hot for holiday.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Seems to be like the default.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Uh so I've then got uh toast versus cereal.

SPEAKER_03

Oh see, I do really like toast and I do really like cereal. But I have to be in the mood for both. I'm not a breakfast person.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um I'm gonna go toast because I think it's always it's always the same, as in like you know what you're getting with toast. Yes. You can't really get toast wrong. Yeah. Or a cereal, you could give it too long, it could be stale, but it could be stale or it could be soggy, like you said, or it might just be slightly off-brand, and you think, oh, this is not as good as the real brand. You know, I yeah. I think I'm gonna go with toast.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm gonna go with toast as well. Nice. Toast as well.

SPEAKER_03

What do you have on your toast? Uh I quite I quite like marmite. I like marmite on my toast. More pate? Pate on toast. Pate on toast. Do you heat the toast? Do you heat the toast and then put pate on it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Damn. I've always only spread them on Melbourne toast. No, no, but not on toast as well. Never thought about having it warm.

SPEAKER_01

Occasionally jam, but my favorite is cheese on toast.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you like cheese on toast?

SPEAKER_01

With cayenne pepper. Cheese on toast with cayenne pepper on top. Oh, beautiful.

SPEAKER_03

I like Nutella on toast on a rare, rare occasion.

SPEAKER_01

I can't actually remember the last time I actually had cereal.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I can remember the last time I had cereal. It was last week, but yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, cereal's not one, I'm not really a big fan of cereal. But when it comes to toast, who do you think came first up with the idea of let's cook some dough and make it bread? Now cook it again.

SPEAKER_03

Um a genius.

SPEAKER_01

Kill it more.

SPEAKER_03

Kill it more.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, what you said earlier on.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Sauna.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Or sauna versus swimming pool.

SPEAKER_03

Sauna versus swimming pool?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That is actually really difficult. If my bones are aching sauna, if I want to work out swimming pool, and I do enjoy swimming, I think it's really relaxing. Whereas a sauna, I wouldn't

Toast Sauna Fire And Bed Temperature

SPEAKER_03

necessarily say is relaxing if you're like um so you can't breathe in them. I can breathe in them. I do enjoy them, especially as I say, especially if I'm aching or if I've got really bad cramps, it's really good. Uh I think I'm gonna have to go to swimming pool, though. I think it's just a bit more versatile, you can do more.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna go swimming pool. Yeah. I'm gonna go swimming pool.

SPEAKER_03

That's a tough one though for me.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Fireplace. So a real fire.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or air conditioning.

SPEAKER_03

Oh. Side note, we've just bought an air conditioning unit for our house. Um, but there'd nothing that beats like a traditional roaring fire. However, we have also had a house fire, so I'm a little bit scarred.

SPEAKER_01

We have had a house fire, yes. Related to a fireplace. That was corrugated cardboard that caught fire.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, because the glass in the front of the thing.

SPEAKER_01

There's a glass piece missing, a flame shot out and got that hit the corrugated cardboard.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So if we're talking like Christmas time, traditional fire any day.

SPEAKER_01

I'm 100% traditional fire. It's just got that warm, cozy feeling to it. I like the smell of a real.

SPEAKER_03

It's really nice. And also, aircon gives me a bit of a sore throat sometimes. Do you know what I mean? Like it's dry. Like, yeah. It's sometimes if I'm in an office building or something, or I'm in an event for work and I'll come out, my lips are all chapped, my throat's dry. I think it's the aircon.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, this is gonna be a good one for you. Oh hot chocolate or milkshake?

SPEAKER_03

Oh no. Oh no. Oh, hang on. Let me decide while I drink my hot chocolate.

SPEAKER_01

I thought, I thought this would be a good one for you.

SPEAKER_03

I like both. Exactly. Milkshakes give me more dairy issues. Um it probably will be a hot chocolate because I I can drink hot chocolate in the morning, evening, anytime. I can drink a hot chocolate. I can I can stomach hot chocolate anytime. Milkshake wouldn't have that in the morning. And probably wouldn't have it late at night.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

It's a midday drink. It's a midday to evening drink. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a milkshake.

SPEAKER_03

I know you would be. Yeah. I think I'm a hot chocolate. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I've this one is definitely I've definitely got a side on this one.

SPEAKER_03

Go on.

SPEAKER_01

Warm bed.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So you bet you get into bed, it's already warm.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or cold sheets and cold pillow.

SPEAKER_03

Cold sheets, cold pillows.

SPEAKER_01

Anytime.

SPEAKER_03

As much as I love being warm and cozy, and I prefer. I think again, that's probably why I prefer winter. Yeah. Because your bed's always cool when you get in, and it's it's nice to like rummage in and then it get all cozy and then it all warms up nicely with your own body temperature rather than being hot as you go in there.

SPEAKER_01

Do you do that little thing with your legs?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I actually did that last night. Which I was like, what the heck are you doing? I get really excited. I get like human ration like before I get to bed. I'm like, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's like it's like a human equivalent of zoomies.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Yeah, I do. I do get that. And then if the cat jumps on us, oh bonus.

SPEAKER_00

Um she laid on us last night, actually. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Uh bonfires versus uh snowball fights.

Apple Pie Noodles Weather And Car Comfort

SPEAKER_01

So you're out and you're having sitting around a bonfire or you're having a snowball fight.

SPEAKER_03

I think bonfire for me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you with I'm with you on that one.

SPEAKER_03

Toasty. I I'd rather stay toasty. And when you have a snowball fight, just after a little while, your gloves get wet, and then your hands get cold, and then your arms get cold, and then your body's cold, and before you know it, you're an ice cube. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_03

And not like the cool ice cube.

SPEAKER_01

So we said we did do saunas or swimming pools.

SPEAKER_03

We did.

SPEAKER_01

So let's let's let's let's give let's throw the ice baths in.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, ice bath, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So steam room or sauna. Okay. Or an ice bath.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like it would be ice bath versus hot tub.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay. Hot tubs. That's the better equivalent. Um if I may be. That was one off the top of my head.

SPEAKER_03

If I may be shit. Um I do enjoy a hot tub.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And a cold plunge, you can't stay in it that long. Mm-hmm. However, there are health benefits to a cold plunge.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, your mum's got a little cold plunge out the back.

SPEAKER_03

Does she?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Did not know that.

SPEAKER_01

I did say to her, it's an Olympic-sized swimming pool for her. Well, did you hear about what happened?

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_01

So because she went, um Is this an on-air thing? Yeah, no, no, no, yeah, no, she won't she won't mind. She went because she knows she knows open water lifeguarding. Yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, I am aware of this. Yeah, sorry, it's just wicked.

SPEAKER_01

The water got down into the back of her wetsuit.

SPEAKER_03

She got poorly.

SPEAKER_01

And she got really poorly because of the cold. Yeah. So what she did, she got a little bit panicky about it, thinking, is she now reacting to cold water? So she bought herself a little cold water plunge to reclimatize her body to the cold water.

SPEAKER_03

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so it's just kind of sitting outside.

SPEAKER_03

Chilling. Does it have a cover and everything?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it does, yeah, yeah, because otherwise it'll go green and horrible.

SPEAKER_03

How does it stay cold?

SPEAKER_01

You just fill it up with cold water.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, oh, literally, right. Okay. So it's not like it's it does it's not uh self-freezing. It's not like self-freeze. No, no, no, no, it's just like a little spell. It's literally a paddling pole.

SPEAKER_01

It's literally like well, it's no, because it's cold. But like a tube up. But tube up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm with you. I know what you mean. It just puts water in colours. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

I d I've never known if they produce their own like ice or something like if they keep it cool. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

No, I mean it's it does the same temperature as the air.

SPEAKER_03

So she would want something that's gonna be the same temperature as the river.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You don't want it like crazy, we don't want minus temperatures because No.

SPEAKER_01

Well That's just silly. Yeah. That's just silly.

SPEAKER_03

Uh we don't get minus temperatures in this country. Anyway, sorry.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so you've just been to McDonald's.

SPEAKER_03

I have.

SPEAKER_01

And McDonald's sell hot apple pies. They do. And they do have lava in the middle of them. They do. They're very hot. So if you were to go into McDonald's now and you had the choice between a scalding hot apple pie or frozen cheesecake.

SPEAKER_03

Hot apple pie.

SPEAKER_01

Hot apple pie?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Frozen cheesecake for me.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, I know you love cheesecake.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I there is there is nothing more satisfying than getting through a McDonald's apple pie without scalding your mouth. Um, and I honestly I think that is worth uh a knighthood.

SPEAKER_01

Brilliant. The chair just squeaked, by the way. I didn't just fart. It was your bottom. Yeah, now I've got jeans on this quite leathery cheats, leathery seat.

SPEAKER_00

Leathery cheats. Uh hot noodles.

SPEAKER_01

Hot noodles or pasta salad. Hot noodles. Hot noodles.

SPEAKER_03

Pasta salad.

SPEAKER_01

You know, like you can get like those cold pasta salads.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, actually, now you say that, I do enjoy a Tesco meal deal chicken spicy pasta pot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, see, this is what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you've got me there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I was immediately like, nah, cold pasta. But oh, and also, Mitchell's brother makes a really good pasta salad.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. And he doesn't put tuna in it, which is I think the difference is, I think with a pasta salad, it goes with something else. But when you have like a hot pasta, it's your main dinner.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Exactly that. Um, that's a really tough one for me. I think I'm still gonna go hot though.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm gonna go hot. I'm gonna go hot pasta on that one. Uh just general shops. Would you rather go to a coffee shop and sit in a coffee shop? Or would you like to go to an ice cream shop and sit in an ice cream shop?

SPEAKER_03

Coffee shop, there's more for me to drink and eat.

SPEAKER_01

Especially in Amsterdam.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Definitely frequent a coffee shop in Amsterdam. Amsterdam.

SPEAKER_01

Amsterdam. Uh hot sand or cold snow on your underfoot.

SPEAKER_03

Neither are pleasant. I think I might have to go hot sand.

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Oh, no.

SPEAKER_01

I prefer the cold snow.

SPEAKER_03

Do you know when hot sand is really hot and you're like Yeah, but the idea of my feet being that cold is enough for me to go hot sand, but you're right. Uh-uh. I just bring it. You're right, uh-uh. I I just bring appropriate footwear.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_03

On both occasions, but I think I would actually prefer the hot sand.

SPEAKER_01

You prepare.

SPEAKER_03

I am Girl Scout when I go away.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Hot summon hot sunny day. Hot sunny day, sorry. Yeah. Yeah. And you've invited some friends round to sit in the garden. Would you have a barbecue or picky tea?

SPEAKER_03

So hot food or cold food, basically.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, basically, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, barbecue is hard. That's a party spotted and cold.

SPEAKER_01

Specifically at a barbecue.

SPEAKER_03

So it's specifically at a really like barbecues as much, so I might have to go picky tea.

SPEAKER_00

Really? Really?

SPEAKER_01

So you'd be getting like the onion bargees and the volivants and all of that.

SPEAKER_03

And kind of picky tea are you having? I'm thinking like potato smiley's. You're a bit too artisan for me. I I I'm too um yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You get the frozen ones from Iceland, can't you? Just shove them in the oven and then.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, yeah. I think I prefer picky tea over. I'm not really a meat, I'm not a massive meat person. As much as I do eat meat, I not, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We haven't got many left, you know? Oh, okay, sorry. I have skipped a few because some of them are quite similar, so I've kind of skipped I've skipped a couple. Okay. So would you rather be out in warm rain?

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So warm, warm rain. Warm rain. Summer rain, yeah. Or an icy cold wind and rain.

SPEAKER_03

It's gotta be a warm rain.

SPEAKER_01

Warm rain?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Because ice it at least a warm rain, you're like, oh, it's wet, but at least I'm not cold.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's like in the summer. So like summer rain is.

SPEAKER_03

It's like I'm wet, but at least I'm not cold. Whereas a icy rain, you ain't got a hope and hell's chance.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_03

Although you likely should be more prepared for it. No, I'm gonna still I'm gonna go with summer rain.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, summer rain?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Summer rain.

SPEAKER_01

Makes me feel fun. Oh, into the shackles in my mind. Anyway, uh heated seats in the car. Yes. Or open windows. Heated seats. Heated seats. I'm an open window man. I love me windows to be open.

SPEAKER_03

Sometimes I think we're really similar, and sometimes I think we do podcasts like this, and I'm like, oh, we're not the same at all. I do have some individuality.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Last one. Last one.

SPEAKER_03

I might do that when I go home. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Put my heated seat on. So this is a this is a it's not a bit of a variation on the hot and cold. This is a little bit abstract.

SPEAKER_03

This is so Graham Norton, by the way.

SPEAKER_01

So cinnamon spicy rolls.

SPEAKER_03

What? Cinnamon spicy. You know, like you have like a cinnamon twirl. Yeah, like a cinnamon twirl.

SPEAKER_01

You know, like you have pasties or pastries. Pastries. Pastries. Yeah. Would you go for something that's like spicy and warm, like a cinnamon twirl?

SPEAKER_03

Right, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Or like a cold pastry. Like a like an ice cream. Cinnamon spicy. Like like a like an ice pastry. I know what you're saying.

SPEAKER_03

Like yeah, a warm pastry or a cold pastry.

SPEAKER_01

A warm pastry or a cold pastry.

SPEAKER_03

Let's not overcomplicate it.

SPEAKER_01

Not cooked, but it's it's the just naturally. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Naturally.

SPEAKER_03

Room temperature pastry or a cold pastry. Room temperature pastry for me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I don't really enjoy pastry cold. I even when I go to the shop, I might actually shove it in the microwave to warm it up. Okay. Is that bad?

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not bad.

SPEAKER_03

I yeah, I always do that. Like I if I have a croissant or something like that, I prefer it warm.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Mm. There you go.

SPEAKER_03

Just that kind of gal. Yeah. So when you get it from bakery, it's already warm and you're like, oh yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So.

SPEAKER_01

Speaking of oh yeah, can I finish is that the end of that's all of them, but I was just gonna say there was no obvious hot or cold on that one. It depends on the situation which one we were in. Situational. It was very situational.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

Shrek Lyric Gripes And Fleetwood Mac Lore

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um thinking of oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Are you aware of the song? Um it's it's on the Shrek 2 soundtrack, Counting Crows, Accidentally in Love.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I am aware of it.

SPEAKER_03

Do you know what the last song line of that song is?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_03

Because I was singing it the other day in the kitchen because I used to cover it with Alfie when we've done Nuisance.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I rem suddenly the realisation hit me, and I remembered why I hated singing that song, and it was the last line of that song.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Get yourself inside her love. That's it's so like, oh go on, get inside her, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Oh get insider.

SPEAKER_03

So it's so geezer, like, oh yeah, let's get inside our love, yeah. That's horrible, isn't it?

SPEAKER_01

Just like the facial expression there.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I just I just uh it I hated singing that last line and I'd completely forgotten about it until I was singing it in the kitchen. I was like, oh yeah, I hate that line.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so annoying. Actually, let's just finish on a on a little not on that note. Not on that note, but something something quite similar to do with music. And I haven't got my phone with me.

SPEAKER_03

No, you haven't because I hid it.

SPEAKER_01

Did you? Yeah. Yeah, because you tell me often looking at my phone, don't you?

SPEAKER_03

I do. So it just looked at your watch twice as well.

SPEAKER_01

No, because I got a message through.

SPEAKER_03

I know. Just don't look.

SPEAKER_01

It was Auntie Hillary. Okay. Okay, so uh just explain what happened on our family chat the other day. Um you sent me a picture of somebody with no kind of reference, but you sent me a picture of someone, yes, and I looked at this picture and I was like, I don't know who that is, but you then went, or then Mitchell then went, it was Stevie Nicks. And I was like, Jesus Christ, she's young there. Yeah, she was really young, did not recognise that Stevie Nicks at all. And then what then happened what what were you doing at that time? Because I find this story hilarious.

SPEAKER_03

What was I doing?

SPEAKER_01

What were you and Mitchell doing?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, we were we were we were watching Silver Springs, yeah. Um, the 1997 uh recording of their show.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And then I just flippantly went to Mitchell. We we were um it was this is just sort of an evening, one evening, and I flippantly went to Mitchell. I went, Are you aware of the law, Fleetwood Mac? And he was like, No, what law? And I was like, Well, you know that Stevie Nicks is currently singing to her ex. This song is about her ex, Lindsay Buckenham, like the I caught all the names wrong initially, yeah. Uh the guitarist. And I was like, Yeah, this band is like known for their kind of breakups and tribulations, and then singing songs about each other, and then making the other people sing those songs about themselves. He literally does a guitar solo on his own disc track. Like it's yeah, it's mad. Um, so anyway, Mitchell is now a massive lover of Fleetwood Mac, and I've my job is complete.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but that was hilarious because I because I said no idea.

SPEAKER_03

You don't know until you're told, though. No, you don't, you don't, you know.

SPEAKER_01

But you said about the silver springs, and that's when I said, Is that the one where she's literally singing it in Lindsay's face? Yeah, and Mitch was like, Yeah, and then I said about all the diss tracks and all that, and Mitchell just sent a gift that just said absolute cinema.

SPEAKER_03

We we watched, yeah, we watched quite a few like live clips that night, and then um, yeah, and then he was just like chat chip teeing the whole thing. He was like, Oh my gosh, like they're this so and it he'd like pop his head up every now and then going, Did you know?

SPEAKER_01

And I was like, Yes, Mitchell was like, Oh no, I didn't know that, or you know Did did he find out about the bit about the vodka bowl? No, where I can't remember if it was Lindsay Buckingham, no, it's I think it was Stevie Nicksh, or could it have been Christine McVeigh? Anyway, one of them threw a a full vodka bowl at Lindsay Buckingham. Oh, full but yeah. I think it might have been Stevie Nicks threw it at Lindsay. Yes, because Lindsey Buckingham turned around and said that he wasn't going to go on tour with the rest of the band. Stevie Nicks lost it and threw a head full vodka ball his head. Oh and there's a famous famous quote where Mick that where Mick Fleetwood said that if that you'd have lined all of the that put a line of cocaine up that Fleetwood Mac had done during that time period, it'd probably be seven miles long. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, anyway, the law of Fleetwood Mac was so funny when Mitchell was just like on it the other day. I just proper laugh. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But he had no idea, and I was just like, you you just wouldn't know, and it's not like it was our era or anything, like you know, it's not I only know from you, and even then I've learned a lot of stuff that I didn't know before, so that's that's cool. But yeah, no.

SPEAKER_01

Go your own way.

SPEAKER_03

I know Lindsay loving you isn't the right thing to do.

SPEAKER_01

Shacking up is all you want to do, and she never did.

SPEAKER_03

She's she's uh uh held on to the fact that she never did sleep around when she was with him, which I think is so sad. And he was he was and she apparently she hated the fact no no, sorry, Go Your Own Way ended up on the album, but Silver Springs didn't, yeah, and it caused quite a quite a fuss. And then when they did release it, it was on the B side of Go Your Own Way, and she was like, You asshole, like you know, you can have your distract, but I can't have mine, sort of thing. Yeah, and it I think arguably, I think it's one of their best songs. I think Silver Spring might be their best song.

SPEAKER_01
